Even though most treatment programs include a

concentrate in some form of specialty. Following are some
of the most common type of alcohol treatment programs
that are offered.
Outpatient Treatment Programs: This type of
program is suitable for those who not severely affected
by alcoholism or for those who have more time to join an
Inpatient program or for those who have completed their
Inpatient program and are on their way to
recovery.
Partial Hospital Treatment Programs: Here
patients are treated five days a week for about four
hours a day. It is a step above the outpatient programs
or a step down from inpatient programs for those patients
who need continuous but less intensive support. Patients
usually reside at home or other structured setting and
participates in these programs during the specified hours
during the day.
Inpatient
Alcohol Treatment Programs: These are for those who have
serious problem with alcoholism and for those who have
already tried a number of times to overcome their problem
unsuccessfully and for those who do not have the will
power, strength or support to succeed through an
outpatient treatment program.
Adolescent Alcohol Treatment Programs: Though
adolescent alcoholism is something that we don’t expect
for, unfortunately the percentage is on the rise at an
alarming rate in recent years. There are a number of
treatment programs that are specially designed to help
solve the unique problems related to teenage
alcoholism.
Therapeutic Communities: Here addictive behavior
is approached as a mental health problem and concentrated
on bringing about behavioral changes in a residential
environment. There are different types of Therapeutic
Communities that are varied in content, type of treatment
and the length of stay required or
preferred.
These are just a few of the different types of
alcohol treatment programs, but keep in mind that though
each program differ in their treatment methods and
services, the ultimate goal of all available programs is
